Skypass - Korean Air

Your flown miles are automatically credited to your account if you provide your SKYPASS number when booking, purchasing tickets and checking-in at the airport. Your SKYPASS miles are valid for 10 years.
Please verify your mileage credit on the website or mobile website after flight. You can claim missing miles within 1 year from the date of travel by submitting your E-ticket and boarding pass on the Korean Air website.
Mileage accrual with Korean Air and/or partner airlines is based on the actual distance traveled and booking class. Please refer to the mileage accrual chart for more information.

You can redeem your miles for award online or by using your smart phone.
Award Ticket
- Redeem your miles to get a free flight on Korean Air! You can redeem your miles for yourself or your family member (award transfer) or, pool miles with your family members (Family Plan) to receive award tickets.
- Award tickets are valid for 1 year from the date of issue and cannot be extended. Please refund unused tickets prior to expiration.
- Fully or partially unused award tickets are refundable by deducting the value of the unused portion of the ticket. If you request a refund after 1 year from the date of issue, 10,000 miles will be deducted from any returns or credits made on your account.
- Flight/upgrade award is subject to seasonality and more miles are required for redemption during peak season than off-peak season.
- When requesting an award, you must pay all applicable taxes, fuel surcharge and fees (e.g. reissuing and revalidating tickets).
Upgrade Award
- You can redeem your miles to upgrade to the next class of service.
- Flight/upgrade award is subject to seasonality and more miles are required for redemption during peak season than off-peak season.
- Upgrade award is valid for as long as the ticket is valid. When extending your ticket, upgrade award is valid for up to 1 year from the date of issue.

KAL Lounge
- Redeem your miles to access KAL Prestige Class Lounges operated by Korean Air.
- Lounge access is available on the day of travel. Pooling miles with your family members is not permitted and redemption is made from your account only. (You can redeem your miles to access the lounge for up to 4 passengers including yourself.)
- Lounge access is available on the day of travel and is subject to lounge availability. (KAL Lounge Award is not available during peak season Jul. 25 – Aug.5)
Excess Baggage
- Redeem your miles to cover excess baggage charge.
  (Excess Baggage Award allows up to 50kg / 2 pieces for America region.)
- Excess Baggage Award is available on a Korean Air flight only (not available for code-share flights). You are not allowed to pool miles with your family members but transferring award is permitted.
Limousine Award
- Redeem your SKYPASS miles to use KAL Limousine service. The redemption for this award is available on the Korean Air website only.
- You are not allowed to pool miles with your family members but transfer of award is permitted.
- Tickets issued on the website are valid for 1 month and refundable only during their validity.
